In a move that has induced vomit in the mouths of many Kenyans, at once causing both shock and outrage, revelations have emerged that members of the 13th parliament, the worst, most corrupt, and certainly most inept in the 60-year history of this nation, were bribed with a pitiful KSh 2 million each to vote in favour of the controversial Finance Bill 2024 last Thursday.
This egregious act of corruption, amounting to KSh 408 million in total, highlights the desperate lengths to which President William Ruto will go to pass a bill widely regarded as draconian and harmful to the public.

A Day of Infamy
On Sunday June 23, 2024, Juja MP George Koimburi dropped a bombshell at the AIPCA Ndururumo Church, revealing that legislators were offered money to ensure Satan's bill's passage.

Koimburi, who voted against the bill, stated, "We were offered money...you saw how they carried money in sacks. We were told that for every yes vote, we would receive KSh 2 million."

The Bill from Satan
Dubbed by many as "Satan's Bill," the Finance Bill 2024 has sparked nationwide protests, with Kenyans taking to the streets in what has been christened #7DaysOfRage.
The bill, which proposes several tax increases amidst an already high cost of living and previous tax hikes by Ruto's administration, is seen as an instrument of oppression designed to squeeze the last drops of blood from an already struggling populace.

The IMF and World Bank Connection
Disturbingly, it has come to light that the bill was not crafted by Ruto's administration but was instead wholly conceptualised and written by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

This revelation has fuelled speculation that President Ruto has sold out Kenya's sovereignty to the global elite in exchange for personal and political gain. The influence of these entities in domestic policy, bypassing any meaningful input from Kenyan leaders, has not gone unnoticed by the public.

This extension is a direct response to the revelations of external influence and the blatant bribery of their supposed representatives.

President Ruto's administration, already marred by allegations of corruption and ineptitude, faces a crisis of legitimacy. The government's heavy-handed response to protests—marked by police brutality and the abduction of activists—has only intensified the public's resolve.
Juja MP Koimburi's warning is chilling: "If this bill passes, the youth may burn the country."
His words underscore the critical nature of the moment and the potential for widespread unrest if the government continues to ignore the will of the people.
